I have been in Chicago for almost 20 years. After graduating from Northwestern I joined Continental Bank and ended up in the Latin America division of International Banking. I moved to Mexico City in 1981 and came back to Chicago 3 and 1/2 years later. A great experience. I have stayed in the banking industry (crazy me) and work in Marketing at Northern Trust Company. I have always wanted to return to Japan but have not had the opportunity. As you know, when I left Japan (with broken leg) for home leave I had no idea I would not be returning. I ended up having extensive surgery on my leg. So it is a bit of unfinished business. Leaving a country without saying goodbye is tough. And I missed graduating with all of you.
