For many years you have been keeping the Class of '74 up-to-date, Mirja, and I'd like you to know how much I appreciate your work.
I have seldom sent an update -- more out of procrastination than anything else. So, let me rectify this.
This year I celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary. My wife Cathy and I have two wonderful childredn. Our daughter Julie is a 14 year-old freshman cheerleader and our 10 year-old son, Drew, has just earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I met Cathy when we both worked at IBM in Midland, Texas, in 1982. In 1986, we moved to Coppell, Toxas, (a Dallas suburb) and have been here ever since. She still works for IBM and I left the corporate world in 1992 when Drew was born. Since that time, I have done consulting work and also developed a photography business -- all the time working from home. This has given me an incredible opportunity to be close to my children and do things that I enjoy. I teach photography courses at SMU and offer four photography workshops each year. In September, I will be taking a group to Banff National Park in Canada. (It's a tough job but somebody has to do it.) You can see some of my work on the my web site at www.GreatPhotography.com.
