Yes, there really is a Paul Nagata. At the time ASIJ seemed to be the best time of my life, then college was, then the 20's, 30's, and so on--Bring it on! I am thankful to report that things are fine with us--no major life changing events, death, disease, or dementia. I will be celebrating 10 years of marriage to and 21 years of dating the same woman this year. "The Sue" and I experienced the joy and pain of parenthood when we took on the temporary responsibility for our 8-yr old niece. Three years of Pre-teen life taught us a lot--about what exactly I am still not sure. Since our niece has moved back in with her father, we are now the happy "Momma and Dadda" to 2 rescued pomeranians, two adult cats and two rescued kittens. They provide us happy relief from our jobs as Insurance types. Sue is a Underwriting/Systems Project Manager for a Medical Malpractice Insurance Company located in Napa. Her job is like having two jobs in one--very full days and always unpredictable. She tells me that if she is having a bad day a quick view of the Hills surrounding the Napa Valley help to put things into perspective. I work for a small "boutique" reinsurance company and work with Public Entities, and Fortune 1000 companies to develop "ART" programs. Our products are customized Insurance/Reinsurance/Financing programs that are not common in the industry. The way we see it "if you've seen one account, you've seen one." I continue to try and stay active--with Volleyball, golf and fishing. Although I am beginning to doubt Golf's aerobic benefits; I maintain that fishing is a skill sport that must be practiced regularly and with passion. When I think back on the ASIJ Days I can see everyone as if it were yesterday--for those brief moments I feel like I am cheating time. We enjoy the news you share with us--even Sue is beginning to recognize some of the names. You've done a great job sticking with the correspondence -- Thank-you. Paul Nagata |
