News of my family and me: Nora (12) has been writing avidly since she could do so and is now a published poet. We have
very recently merged families with my partner of two years and his two girls ages 12 and 14. So, I'm now well in the midst
of female adolescence. The girls in the family share a passion for horseback riding. Hopefully this will provide a bonding
opportunities and healthy hiatus from boys. We also now share our home with two big dogs and a cat.
Two big accomplishments for me on the academic side are a promotion to full professor and a book forthcoming from Oxford University Press titled "Global Meeting Grounds." A big event for me on the spiritual side is that I have asked to receive the Precepts in the Soto Zen lineage and will be lay-ordained this coming year. Mirja, do you have an email address for Frieda Scherers(sp?). I'm going to Amsterdam in June and wanted to contact her there. Mary Yoko Brannen |
